Accessibility
Accessibility, on the site and on the way to the hotel
Two separate subjects: how this website works for people using assistive technology, and what can be found about step-free access to Crown Towers.
This website
- A skip link at the top of every page goes straight to the content.
- Navigation, the page index and the request form work with a keyboard; the index closes with Escape.
- Form fields have visible labels; dates are typed as text (YYYY-MM-DD) rather than through a date picker.
- Text is set on high-contrast backgrounds and scales with browser settings.
- Pictures carry descriptive alternative text and are labelled as illustrations.
- The map on the home page loads only when its button is pressed; the address and links are given in text beside it.
If something on the site does not work with the tools you use, write to hello@yarrapromenadeguide.com and say which page; it will be fixed.
Getting to the hotel
Yarra Trams lists Stop 115 Casino/Southbank (route 58) and Stop 124A Casino/MCEC (routes 96, 109 and 12) as level-access stops. Routes 96 and 109 aim to run every service with a low-floor tram; route 58 is partly served by low-floor trams; route 12 is not currently served by them. Stop 122 Southern Cross Station on route 96 is also a level-access stop. PTV information: 1800 800 007.
At the hotel
The Crown pages read for this guide did not include an accessibility page for Crown Towers: the addresses tried for one returned “page not found” on 31 October 2026. Accessible rooms, roll-in showers, hearing equipment and step-free routes through the complex are therefore questions for the hotel. Note any needs in a room request and the desk asks before quoting, or contact Crown on +61 3 9292 8888.
