Age and entry

Entry to the casino is restricted to people aged 18 and over. Venues located on the casino floor, such as the Atrium Bar, apply the same rule and also exclude anyone barred from the casino or the complex. Under-18s staying at Crown Towers cannot enter the casino area or the venues on the casino floor.

Hours

The casino operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, except on Christmas Day, Good Friday and ANZAC Day, when its entrances close from 4am until 12 noon. Crown also applies daily and weekly limits on the length of a gambling session — 12 hours a day and 36 hours a week — as part of its harm-minimisation rules.

Dress standard

Smart casual at all times, with footwear. Crown lists as unacceptable ripped, torn or soiled clothing; T-shirts with offensive designs or words; work singlets or tank tops; manual work clothing and boots, including steel caps; and dirty, untidy or torn footwear. Management may ask for hats or helmets to be removed for security reasons.

Cards, limits and regulation

Crown now requires a card for gaming, and that card allows its holder to set time and loss limits. The Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission regulates the Melbourne casino; its page notes that gaming machines and electronic table games there are used only through a player card. Crown states that all casino gaming follows the Commission's casino rules.

Online gambling

Crown's own FAQ answers the question of online play with one sentence: the federal Internet Gaming Moratorium prevents Australian operators from offering it. This site describes a physical hotel in Victoria and links to no gambling service of any kind.

If a stay is confirmed from a request, the site may receive a commission from the hotel or the booking partner. Our income.

Request received. The desk will check the dates with Crown's reservations team or a booking partner and write back by email, normally within one business day. Nothing is reserved or charged until you accept an offer.
