One source of income, stated plainly, and a list of the things that do not pay this site.

The one source

Yarra Promenade Guide earns money in one way: when a room request sent through the form on this site becomes a confirmed stay at Crown Towers Melbourne, the site may receive a commission from the hotel or from the booking partner that handled the reservation. If a request does not lead to a stay, nothing is earned.

What is not connected

No advertising network. There are no adverts on this site and no advertising code in its pages.
No affiliate network. Links to Crown's pages and to the hotel's booking page are plain links, with no tracking tags or partner identifiers.
No paid placement. Crown has not paid for, reviewed or approved anything on this site.
No analytics or tracking scripts, and no cookies set by this site.

If any of that changes — an advertising placement, an affiliate programme — this page will say so first, and the affected links or spaces will be labelled where they appear.

What it costs you

Nothing. The request is free, there is no booking fee charged by this site, and the site never takes payment. If a stay is booked, you pay the hotel or the booking partner the rate stated in the offer you accepted, on their terms. You are always free to book directly with the hotel instead; its official page is linked on every page of this site.

Why the commission does not shape the pages

The facts on this site come from Crown's own pages and from public bodies, each listed under the page it supports. The weaknesses — unpublished floors, two club timetables, weekend surcharges, a busy complex — are printed alongside the strengths. A guide that only praised the hotel would be less useful to the people who send requests, which is the only thing this site is paid for.
