Cup week at the tower, 3 to 7 November 2026
The first week of November is one of the busiest of the year at Crown. Here is what Crown's own pages say about that week, and what it means for a room.

This note covers hospitality and logistics only. It contains no racing information and no betting of any kind; the race days are named because Crown's venues schedule around them.

What it means for the room
- Late check-out is not offered during special events or at high occupancy. Plan on 11am.
- Check-in remains from 3pm; arrive earlier and the Bell Service Desk holds the bags.
- Car-park and valet surcharges may apply before special events; the published $85 valet may not be the final figure on the day.
- Restaurant bookings for these sittings are made with Crown, with a card guarantee and cancellation fees of up to $50 per person outside the notice period.
The evenings
In November the gas brigades begin at 20:00 and fire on the hour until midnight from Sunday to Thursday and until 1am on Friday and Saturday — unless the day is a total fire ban day for the Central Region. Crown LIVE, the rebuilt Palms, is due to open during November 2026 for up to 1,250 guests; Crown had not printed the opening night when this note was written.
Requesting a room for the week
Send the dates as early as possible and say in the notes if they are firm. The desk asks the hotel for the categories still open and the rates for those nights, and passes on any floor or view preference. In a busy week the honest answer may be a different category from the one requested; the reply says so.
